Let’s head back to Bayside High!
On Monday, August 10, a trailer for the reboot was released showing exclusive clips and some OG Saved by the Bell cast members including Mario Lopez and Elizabeth Berkley. The NBC Peacock reboot series takes place 30 years after the original show ends where “a group of California low-income high school students are transferred to Pacific Palisades’ wealthy Bayside High, following a program by California Governor Zack Morris,” said Dateline and IMDB.
Back in the ’90s the show was progressive in the fact that they cast a Latino and a multi-dimensional Black women. The reboot plans to do the same by casting a transgender as well as an Afro-Latina. Way to go Bayside!
