I was able to spend some time with my family in Michigan a little while ago and my sister said we had to try this new watermelon drink she likes to make. Well there’s no better day to give it a try than National Water Melon Day!
Here’s what you need:
- 6 c. watermelon cubes, seeds removed*
- 1/4 c. granulated sugar
- 1 T. freshly squeezed lemon or lime juice
- 1 c. coconut rum
Freeze the watermelon for a few hours before you want to make it in a ziplock bag. Blend those bad boys up in a blender, put in the rum, sugar, lime or lemon juice, blend more, DRINK!
OH. And it’s National Wine Day too. So you can do either/or or….both.
