Netflix To Release A Documentary, ‘Trainwreck: Balloon Boy’, About The 2009 Homemade Flying Saucer

It was one of the most bizarre ‘national emergencies’. October 2009, a 6-year-old boy strapped to a homemade flying saucer caused intense panic, as the helium filled object floated THOUSANDS of feet in the air for close to TWO HOURS! This was the brainchild of Richard Heene of Colorado, who went to jail over this stupid stunt. I can remember watching coverage of this and immediately realizing this fool wanted as much media attention as he could get. Well, apparently his 15 minutes of fame aren’t up, because 16 years later, it’s being made into a documentary. ‘Trainwreck: Balloon Boy’ will be released July 15th on Netflix.
