Tyrese Haliburton Receives A Warning From The NBA For His ‘Victory Dance’ After Pacers Win

Tyrese Haliburton, one of the key players of our Indiana Pacers, got his wrist slapped this week by the NBA. For what??? A silly dance that many other players, including LeBron James and Steph Curry have also been spotted doing. As you can see in the video below, the player cups his hands and pretends to cradle his big, er…yea. The NBA says that’s a no-no and have cracked down on all players over the last few years saying it’s inappropriate and not a good representation of the NBA. Is it really that big of a deal? I’m the proud father of a 9-year-old who looks up to Tyrese and many of the other NBA stars. If my son were to do this, I wouldn’t care. Honest. If this is the worst act he’s committing on the court after just sinking a killer shot, who the hell cares?!

Looks like Tyrese didn’t give a damn about the fine…had the NBA levied it against him…

So where did this ‘blue’ celebratory dance originate from? Many claim it came from the movie, ‘Major League II’. Here’s a video of other players doing the dance and the clip from ‘Major League II’:
