Taylor Swift will direct her first movie, from a script she wrote herself. She’s doing it with Searchlight Pictures . . . the studio behind Oscar-winning movies like “The Shape of Water” and “Nomadland”.

There’s no word yet on the plot or casting. The studio says, “Taylor is a once in a generation artist and storyteller. It is a genuine joy and privilege to collaborate with her as she embarks on this exciting and new creative journey.”
Taylor has directed several of her own videos, including the 15-minute “All Too Well: The Short Film”. She’s also appeared in a handful of films, like “Valentine’s Day”, “Cats”, and “Amsterdam”.
