I’m not here to contest this: Chris Evans has been named People magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive for 2022.  Stephen Colbert made the announcement last night on The Late Show.

Chris wasn’t on the show, because he was busy filming the Netflix movie Red One.  But they did send a video of his co-star The Rock presenting him with the honor.

Chris told People, “My mom will be so happy.  She’s proud of everything I do but this is something she can really brag about.”

He added, “This whole thing is tough to be interviewed about.  It feels like a weird form of humble bragging.  Really this will just be a point of bullying [from friends].  It’s ripe for harassment.”

But at least he’ll always have this, even when he’s not so sexy anymore.  “It’s something that as I become old and saggy I can look back on and say ‘I remember then.’  I’m lucky to be in the discussion in any capacity.”
