Dear reader, you will be pleased to know that the Duke aka Regé-Jean Page is flying across the pond to host Saturday Night Live. He will be making his SNL debut on February 20 alongside rapper Bad Bunny.

British-Zimbabwean actor Rege became a household favorite as Simon Basset in one of Netflix’s biggest hits, Bridgerton. His love story with Daphne Bridgerton was the main focus of the first season of the show, but season 2 will show a different storyline.

Bridgerton has already captured an 82 million household audience and is “the streaming service’s fifth most popular series ever,” reported Teen Vogue. With the success of season one, the show has already begun prepping for season 2 which will focus on Daphne’s older brother Anthony and his love interest played by “Sex Education” star Simone Ashley.

Of course the Duke and Dutchess will still be in the show, but they won’t be the main focus. “They are now of course the Duke and Duchess of Hastings but in my mind they will always be Bridgertons and I think they will always be part of the show,” series creator Chris Van Dusen informed Deadline.
