Everyone’s favorite 90’s thriller is back and better than ever! The 1997 movie I Know What You Did Last Summer starring Jennifer Love Hewitt, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Ryan Phillippe, and Freddie Prinze Jr. follows a group of four friends who accidentally hit and kill a man one summer. The next year they all get mysterious messages from someone who knows what they did.

Now we don’t know much about the remake but we do know it will be adapted into a television series by Amazon and be written by Sara Goodman, who has worked on projects such as Gossip Girl and Preacher.

The Loop quoted Amazon Studios COO Albert Cheng on what he thinks of the remake. He said, “The best horror franchises always have another scare coming, and this ‘I Know What You Did Last Summer’ series from Sara Goodman is a perfectly twisted update to the iconic slasher movie. Any way you slice it, our global Prime Video customers will love this modern take on the fan favorite film.”

Fans took to Twitter to share their thoughts.

The one question I have is will it include Shawn Mendes and Camilla Cabello’s song “I Know What You Did Last Summer?” If so, count me in!
