If you have a weak stomach for gore, then skip the first 10ish minutes of Ratched on Netflix. After that, it’s just creepy. But holy crap, it’s one I’m glad I took the time to binge.
Ratched stars Sarah Paulson as the infamous Nurse Ratched you may remember from “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest” with a young Jack Nicholson. It’s kind of a prequel that explains how she became such a evil character and in a psych hospital, of all places.
The first season is a solid 8 episodes, but I need mooooore. And lucky for me, there’s already a definite second seasoning happening. I just don’t know when, which is such a 2020 torture. But Paulson explained that the next season would bring us one step closer to how exactly Midred Ratched becomes who we knew in from Cuckoo’s Nest. Elle says that the series was signed on for 2 seasons from the very beginning, but the next season will likely have some cast changes.
I guess I’ll go back to watching a lot of ER on Hulu while I wait for what’s gonna feel like forever on this next season.
