Sometimes it might feel like holding in the tears makes you tough and mentally strong but in reality crying can be WAY more beneficial. According to Science  (yeah-I made science generic but you can click that link and learn all about what kind of science) setting free the water works releases toxins held in by our body, can help us sleep better, strengthen our immune system, lower our blood pressure, and help lower stress too! Plus, it’s great for cleaning out our eyes and nose.  Also, the added vulnerability of shedding tears makes people feel closer to us and strengthen our relationships.
