Ladies, if you’ve ever watched your dude go through the “Man flu” where normal human symptoms make him behave like he is at death’s door you might have wondered if, as a woman, you are tougher than he is. Well… You are! The journal Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery published a study that found that on average, women have 34 nerve fibers per square centimeter of facial skin. Men average just 17. That means we actually feel pain more intensely than men but we also tolerate it way better because we are used to feeling such high levels of it. Let me say that another way: Women have way worse pain, have more of it in their lives, and STILL don’t whine that much. 😉
