Commutes Just Got Longer

In case you weren’t spending enough time in your car between work and your house, commutes just got a little bit longer.

According to the US Census Bureau, commutes are now (on average) 27 minutes one-way, which is an all-time high.

And it adds up: 20 extra minutes a week… 17 extra hours a year… eventually we’re all spending about nine full calendar days a year commuting. So much driving.

So, I guess, enjoy the extra few minutes with podcasts, music, or thinking about the stuff in life that’s inevitable, like everyone in traffic does.

Or, you know, listen to the radio!
