I love Taco Bell like Oprah loves bread.

But with how often I frequent the Bell, I have to find ways to save some money. In come the Taco Bell Hacks. I have devised some ways for you to save money and optimize your Taco Bell ventures.

  •  For veggie heads, you can sub meat on any item from refried beans or black beans FOR FREE. Now that may not make it vegan, but it helps if you’re trying to cut down on meat consumption for your health or the environment. Yay Meatless Mondays!
  •  If you’re a basic b***h like me, you love some nachos. Good ol’ chips and cheese. Taco Bell KNOWS THAT and charges near $2 for that biz. If you want to save some change, let me direct you to the Cravings Value Menu. There’s this little item called the “Triple Layer Nachos.” It comes with the standard tortilla chips and the DayGlo yellow nacho cheese, plus refried beans and red sauce! I tend to order this without the red sauce and add guacamole for 45¢ more to get this dish packed with stuff for cheaper than the classic version.
  • We all have our TB favs that we get attached to and then they seemingly disappear. Mine was the Wild Naked Chicken Chalupa. The fact that this item existed is honestly a disgrace to human existence, but nevertheless, I would regularly eat it and I MISS IT. If you don’t recall this scary invention, here’s a pic:

It was a chalupa with FRIED CHICKEN AS THE SHELL. Menu items like the Naked Chicken Chalupa are LTOs (Limited Time Offers). Taco Bell calls them “Experiences” that are switched out about monthly. I have found this website called Living Màs that offers behind-the-shell information including what experiences are coming up through the year. I don’t know how they get this coveted Taco Bell schedule info, but they have never led me astray in figuring out when they’re going to bring back my treasured fried chicken monstrosity.

I’m almost done Taco Bell fan-girling, I promise. This is not a money hack, but I will leave you with this. Zero Sugar Baja Blast SLAPS. I guess you could call it a sugar-free hack for your taste buds.
