Event Description:

Indianapolis is a thriving community in the national spotlight for numerous achievements, but we have our struggles, too.  The goal of the partnership between the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department and Hubler Chevrolet, along with other community partners, is to continue growing the sense of community in our area.

Diversity is a tremendous community strength, but one that is not always recognized.  We aim to bring together all facets of our community by uniting through our children.  Hubler provides the space and funding for these activities, and the IMPD provides the reach into the community to bring everyone together.  With events like Clothe A Child, the Easter Egg-stravaganza, and Safe KI.D., we are able to show everyone that we have more in common that we sometimes might think.

Another benefit is introducing children and families to members of the police.  Sworn to serve and protect, these valiant public servants want to reach across what can be a difficult barrier for some.  Police Officers are men and women with families and friends just like anyone else.  When we can come together in a non-traditional environment, we believe we can overcome some of the boundaries that seem to separate the police from civilians.

We want a community that feels safe, that trusts its public servants, and that can bring the city of Indianapolis to the level of quality we all believe we can achieve.

The Easter Egg-stravaganza is on April 15th from 1-3pm.
